You’re about to discover how to reach your dream of becoming a nurse! Since you have decided to become a nurse, you may have a lot of questions concerning: How to become a nurse and how to become a SUCCESSFUL nursing student. My name is Caroline Porter Thomas and I am the author of How to Succeed in Nursing School. I wrote this book out of huge concern with how difficult & confusing the process of becoming a nurse was. I had a difficult time choosing a program that was right for me, gaining acceptance into a nursing program & then passing the extremely difficult nursing program and NCLEX examination.
“Don’t be left behind, get the book that your classmates already have!”
I was very concerned, because I really wanted to become a nurse; however had a C average in high school and had taken a 5 year break since graduation. In addition to that, I was told in the 8th grade that I had a learning disability and was held back and entire year. So when I made the decision to find a way to become a nurse, I knew the odds were against me.
“I graduated nursing school with honors, despite being held back in the 8th grade for an entire year AND having to go to summer school 3 out of 4 years in high school! If I can do it, so can you.”
I learned a few key study tips & techniques that I will share with you in this book which enabled me to start nursing school with a 3.7 gpa and also graduated nursing school with honors.

“Great book for someone who is thinking about the career or would like some motivation and study tips. Should be required N101 reading. It was a quick read and I will go back and check out some stuff in it again.” Sabrina
“I am about to start nursing school and purchased this book along with “How to survive and maybe even love nursing school” I found this book far more helpful. I was so anxious about starting school but now I really feel calm and confident. The author gives you not only detailed study advice pertaining to the big picture, real life situation kind of knowledge you will need to have for your nursing tests and the nclex but also advice on how to stay healthy, positive and really get the most out of your experience. I will probably read this twice more before school starts and I recommend you do too!” Eleni M Monos
“I First saw this amazing author, nurse, and motivator on YouTube, while I was contemplating my third act in a nursing career . She is the most approachable human being you’ll ever have the pleasure of reading, watching, and corresponding with via email. I never expected a response from the actual person, but indeed she did. This book is just a piece of Mrs Thomas, her book reads as if she’s your bestfriend, chewing the fat with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and she’s telling you to
” go for it ,girlfriend!!! and don’t give up !” The book is informative very concise and reads like a Jodi Picoult novel I’ve also purchased her A&P secrets, daily audio motivators, that are priced at a steal. I am so blessed that God led her to guide me through this journey.” Cassandra L. Vidler
“There is also a video companion to the book which has already been viewed more than 50,000 times in less than a year.”
